Definition of Stun Shot
Stun Shot is a billiards slang term that is a part of Billiard Technique Terminology.
A stun shot is similar to a stop shot, but used when there is a slight angle on the shot. The cue ball is stunned but still has some lateral movement along the tangent line. A stun shot typically has no backspin or top spin on it at the moment in which it contacts the object ball. A shot where the cue ball has no topspin or backspin on it when it impacts an object ball, and "stuns" out along the tangent line. It literally just slides. The term stun shot is typically shortened in speech to just the word stun.
