Definition of Table in Position
Table in Position is a billiards term that is a part of Billiard Technique Terminology.
The term table in position refers to the lay of the billiard balls as such that the object balls have remained unmoved after a shot. This tends to be an embarrassing type of shot, but can occur quite easily. Joking with the term table in position can lighten the air. When this happens, the shooting player is said to have left the table in position.

You have to take the table in position. You don't have ball-in-hand in this circumstance.
