Definition of Sell Out
Sell Out is a billiards slang term that is a part of Billiard Technique Terminology.
In one pocket, and in other billiard games, a sell out is act of committing a grave error that leaves your opponent with a high percentage shot that could cost you the game. This is typically as the result of missing a shot you expected to make, or by misplaying a safety, or by having a kiss or some other unintended consequence disrupt your shot.

Be careful, that is a fairly hard shot. Don't sell out.
