Definition of On A String
On A String is a billiards slang term that is a part of Billiard Technique Terminology.
In billiards, this saying is generally used to describe perfect cue ball location in position play. On a string refers to the player having the cue ball on a string, which refers to their skill for perfectly controlling where the cue ball comes to rest after each shot.
