Definition of Chin Lock
Chin Lock is a billiards slang term that is a part of Billiard Technique Terminology.
Chin lock is a technique used for maintaining proper alignment when moving into the shooting position. Chin lock helps because it is a commonly known truism that a shot should always be lined up before you move down into your shooting position. By locking the direction of your chin on the vertical plane of the shot, your body will naturally be in proper alignment when you are down on the table, thus, increasing your chances of making the shot attempted.
