Definition of Pocket
Pocket is a billiards term that is a part of Pool Table Terminology.
A pocket, in simplest form, is an opening in the bed of a pool table and the rails in to which the object balls are shot. Pocket openings are sized differently on different types of tables, and of course, the smaller the opening, the more difficult it is to pocket an object ball.
