Definition of Combination
Combination is a billiards term that is a part of Billiard Technique Terminology.
A combination is shot where the cue ball first contacts an object ball other than the object ball to be pocketed. Please note that there is a subtle distinction between carom shots, billiard shots, and combination shots.

Have you ever heard the term "combinate" used in place of billiard combo shot or combination shot?
I think it's slang for performing a combination shot.
For example, "Hey, were you trying to combinate?"
