The cue also says Made in Portugal.

   Yes, the pool cue logo says "Sampaio".

   Sampaio cues are generally regarded as high quality cues.

   There's no letter "p" in the Sampaio logo the cue. I'd be thinking it is a Sampaio cue knock-off.

   I have a question about my own... Smith & Wesson cue. Do I ask here or start a new thread?

   It's there. I see it. Look at the other examples in my answer. Namely this:

   

   I've seen a bunch of these where the stamp doesn't penetrate the wood evenly and some parts barely dent the surface.

   Can't offer much more since you've not shown the whole cue.

   Regarding your cue - start a new question with clear photos.
