Definition of Free Break
Free Break is a billiards term that is a part of Billiard Technique Terminology.
Free break prefers to break in which all of the object balls leave the area in which they were racked, and come to rest leaving an excellent spread of balls throughout the table. A free break is considered to be extremely desirable. It should be noted that if a player fouls on the break shot that break is not considered a free break.
