Definition of Doubles
Doubles is a billiards term that is a part of Cue Sport Game Name Terminology.
Doubles refers to a form of billiard play where teams of two players compete against each other in a match up. Each match up is called a doubles game, and in a doubles game, the first player from the team taking the break shot is the only player who is to shoot during the opening inning. Once that player's inning is over, a player from the other team takes the table. Once that inning is over, the opposite player from the first team takes the table. Players continue to alternate each inning until the game is complete.
