Definition of Ahead Race
Ahead Race is a billiards term that is a part of Scoring Terminology.
A type of match where the number of games a player is ahead determines the end. For example, a "five ahead race" will not end until one billiard player gets five games ahead of his or her opponent.

Ahead Race - Usage
We're going to be here a while, John and Roy just started a 10 ahead race. They won't be leaving until one of them leads the other by 10 games.
