Definition of Across The Strings
Across The Strings is a billiards slang term that is a part of Scoring Terminology.
Across the strings is a billiard term that, when said as a verb, refers to the act of moving the scoring beads across the strings. This is the act of a player actually moving beads across a string hung near the billiard table when a player scores points. This is a method of keeping score.
