Pool Table Diamond Sight Measurements

Could you please tell me where the pool table diamond sight locations are measured from along the rails?

Are they equal distances from the nose of the cushions on the end rail, or from the center of the corner pockets? i.e. 3 11/16 inches past the nose of end rails.

This makes a big difference to cross table banks from the first or second diamond etc.
