I am looking for a list of good pool movies or movies with a lot of pool involved? Also interested in knowing what are your favorites? I'd be interested in buying some.

    since no one will reply.... i will reply to myself haha.

    i found the hustler. apparently very widely known amongst billiard players and even so, no one in this forum bothered to help me out with it.

    also a recent movie, poolhall junkies. apparently comes with mixed reviews. worth seeing im sure tho, to us enthusiasts

    If you liked those billiard movies well enough, you'll also want to cue up Anthony Palma's upcoming movie called 9-Ball.

    It's going to be released sometime this year (hopefully) and will star Jennifer Barretta, as the leading lady, and will also have Efren Reyes, Francisco Bustamante, and Rubilen Amit in the cast. It will be a must see.

    I recently watched Poolhall Junkies by Mars Callahan (also a pool player).

    I think it has a fair share of entertainment with, of course, a lot of scenes related to the game of billiards.

    There is a new pool movie out Starring Famke Janssen called Turn the River. It's about a mother and her son and their separation, but billiards is a staple in the story line, as the mother is a small town pool hustler.

    Besides the oldies like The Hustler, and The Color of Money, there's a new kick ass pool movie called POOLHALL JUNIKIES. Ricky Shroeder from the TV Sitcom SilverSpoons is in it. He actually plays a Hustler. I know that sounds hokey, but it's actually a good movie, and I totally recommend it. It mostly deals with the betting aspect of the game, and maybe some usual trick shots.

    Just remember, movies can't teach you to shoot, you have to go on your own and learn first hand by playing someone who constantly kicks your ass.

    9 ball trailer is now posted . Still in the early stages of shooting though, and will still be a while before it comes out. Just wanted to update all the threads with people asking about it.
