I am trying to get the butt replaced on my Palmer cue. I bought it in 1987 when I was 16 years old.

It means a great deal to me and would like to get it repaired.

I am not even sure what model it is, so it would be nice to know this too.

You have a Palmer PB-5 pool cue from the Palmer "PB" line.

The Palmer PB series (which stood for Palmer Billiards) was a series of production cues introduced in the late 1970s.

These cues were manufactured by Adam Japan, to the designs and specifications of Peter Balner (of Palmer Cue).

These cues are of the highest production quality available at that time and they were very popular.

The majority of the PB Line cues were sold during the 1980's. The prices ranged from $100 for the PB-1, to $225 for the popular PB-7, to $400 for the PB 11. Many of the models in this series feature full splice construction.

By the way, I posted your Palmer cue repair recommendation request as a separate topic. I don't personally give recommendations any longer as I don't want to feel the responsibility if anything goes wrong, though I've provided a short list under that question so that you can get started on research and selection.
