Help Dating a Meucci Originals Cue
I need help to determine the date or year in which my Meucci Originals pool cue was made.
I know it is real, that's not a debate, but I just don't know how old it is.

billiardsforum on 9/4/2024 8:01:55 AMThis is a Meucci Originals MO-9 pool cue from the first "series" released by Bob Meucci when he started Meucci Originals.
The "MO" series was released in 1975, and this cue was marked as "not available" in the later brochures from that series. It has been reported that very few of this model were ever made.
A Meucci cue collector and former Meucci Originals dealer said the following about the Meucci MO-9 cue model:
Bob took them out of the brochure because it wasn't making him any money. Too much time to build to sell at that price.
One owner of this model said that he bought his back in 1976 direct from Meucci, and remarked in his post:
[...] ...they only made a few of these at best. [...]
I believe your cue would have been made somewhere between 1975 and 1977.
There is a huge cohort of Meucci Originals collectors and this first series (the MO series) is the most sought-after series by collectors. Many collectors need this model to complete their series collection. I believe that less than 5 complete "MO" series collections exist to this day, though more will surely be completed as the remaining MO-9 cues come out of the attics and closets.
If you were to put this up for sale, the Meucci Originals MO9 cue would likely sell for somewhere between $5000 and $8000 USD, give or take.
