This orange Medici-01 prototype pool cue has two main differences from the final production version.
- The forearm, veneer chain, and rectangular blocks are stained orange in this prototype, instead of purple as were the production versions.
- The veneer chain is below the rectangular blocks in the prototype instead of above it as it was in the production version.
Info on the Medici-1 Orange Prototype Pool Cue from an eBay Sale
The production runs of the Medici-1 cue came with a purple stain but Meucci just released some of their original prototypes to select dealers. This is an orange prototype version of the purple Medici-1 pool cue. A rare cue that performs well at an affordable price.
The Medici-1 cue orange prototype comes standard with a 12.75mm hard rock Maple shaft with the famous Meucci Pro Taper and a low deflection ferrule and tip combination. The butt has a curly maple forearm stained light orange. The joint and buttsleeve are inlaid with an orange veneer chain, plus rectangular blocks set in an ivory colored field. The Medici-1 comes with a cream wrap and the Everlock adjustable weight system.
