Ebony BMC Diamond Cue Info
Info on the Ebony BMC Diamond Cue
In 2017, Bob Meucci decided to do a limited run of 50 cues of an ebony version of the BMC Diamond Cue released in 2010. These cues feature ebony wood in the buttsleeve, handle, and forearm instead of the standard birdseye maple.
In 2018, we saw ebony BMC Diamond cue #7, but this time it was numbered "7/100" via an engraved serial number on the butt cap. Previously they had been numbered by hand on the forearm near the signature in the format of "n of 50". When asked about the increase in production from 50 to 100 cues, Barb from Meucci Cues said that Bob changed his mind and decided to expand production to 100 cues instead of 50.
[Bob Meucci] changed his mind but is going to only make around 64
See the "Dates and Numbers" section below for more.
Change in Inlay Material
The inlay material used to border the diamonds in the initial few cues was mother-of-pearl. Apparently there was a tendency for the MOP to crack, and so now Meucci uses birdseye maple in the place of the mother-of-pearl on the newer ebony diamond cues they make. This generally means that an earlier cue with un-cracked mother-of-pearl inlays would be worth a bunch more as time goes on.
BMC Ebony Diamond Cue Dates and Numbers
NOTE: The serial numbers on the BMC Ebony Diamond cues are a complete mess. There are duplicates of certain serial numbers, and some have no numbers at all. Classic Meucci disorganization.

Mind if I ask what the serial number is on yours?
- Colin Maloney from Enfield, NS on 1/15/2020 3:13:24 PM
Where is the serial number located?
This one doesn’t have the "number" of "the number of cues".
- billiardsforum from Halifax, NS on 1/15/2020 3:19:33 PM
Oh, cool. Yeah, I was interested in the "XX of 100" that you usually see on the butt cap. I was just curious.
- Colin Maloney from Enfield, NS on 1/15/2020 3:27:10 PM
