Definition of By The Game

By The Game is a billiards term that is a part of Gambling and Betting Terminology.

By the game is the simplest billiard gambling method whereby a wager is set on each billiard game, and either the losing player is expected to pay after every game, or it is agreed to keep score on the wire for settling up later.

By The Game - Usage

We don't play by the ball here, we play by the game, and the stakes are high.
