Definition of Apex
Apex is a billiards term that is a part of Billiard Accessory Terminology.
Apex is a geometrical term used in billiards. It refers to the highest vertex in a polyhedron or geometric solid. In billiards, the geometric solid is usually the triangle, or rack.

You have to place the 1 ball in the apex spot in the rack.
