Is a Combination Shot Including Opponent's Balls Allowed?

Is a combination shot which includes the other player's balls allowed?

In this example, can the player shooting stripes contact the yellow ball which then contacts the two solids, which then contacts the red striped ball to knock it into the pocket?

Yes, using an opponent's ball in the middle of a combination shot is allowed, in general.

The most common requirements are that you:

    1. Contact your own ball first with the cue ball,
    2. Call the ball you intend to pocket and which pocket it will fall into.

You don't need to call any other details.

...and, in @Cubana's photo example, the brown or blue ball could have instead been the 8-ball, too.
