Pocket Final Pink Ball With Black on a Free Ball
While playing a snooker frame, my opponent and I were at the final black ball and pink ball, and I gave the opposing player a free ball.
She called "black" and pocketed the pink ball with it. I adamantly maintained that it was considered a foul, yet she argued that she was allowed to perform this action.
Tell me I'm right!

A player can pocket the ball "on" with the free ball at any time they wish. That being said, I'm afraid, your friend is correct and that was in fact a legal shot in the game of Snooker and the pink ball stays pocketed.
In this case, six points are scored. You could also pocket both the pink and the black balls, but you would only be scored for the pink since the black ball is spotted.

Yes, we saw the reply, and she was happy. It actually makes sense to me now that this is not a foul under snooker rules. It's hard keeping regular billiards rules and snooker rules separate sometimes, as I play both quite regularly.

But, if the black ball and pink ball are pocketed all together, it would be scored by "double pink", right?
