Called Shots and Potting Color Balls Vs Red Balls

Called Shots and Potting Color Balls Vs Red Balls

The standard play around here is that shots on red balls need not be "called shots" and a shot on a color ball must be a "called shot" (meaning designating not only the ball but the pocket)

The way the play will be executed (for example), cross side, cue ball touching the cushion before the designated ball, etc.like the continuous play at pool.

Are these real rules of not?

Snooker is not a "called shot" game.

You never have to "call your shot" in snooker, regardless the ball you are shooting.
