Found a 9-foot Gold Crown III from Hurricane Ian Flood

I found and bought this 9-foot Brunswick Gold Crown III pool table for sale after Hurricane Ian. I gave the nice woman $500 for it.

It's got new Simonis cloth on the rails and bed. The rails are good as is the base frame etc. The feet are a mess but can be saved. The side skirts have wear from being in a pool hall so I'll paint them and the corners but will leave the base in it's woodn grain finish. Serial number K-3739.

It's a thing of beauty.

Today I sold my 120 year-old Minn Billiards pool table, so the timing couldn't have been better. I picked-up this Brunswick GCIII with my trusty 1962 3/4 Chevy truck as I have done with many other pool tables in the past. It did the 140 mile trip with no problems.

You can see from the photos that her home is undergoing repairs for the flooding from Hurricane Ian, the evil demon storm. I had to spend hours during that storm with my feet against my sliding glass doors because the wind was bending them inward. I've never experienced anything like it. The next day all the streets were flooded and I was marooned. Department of Fish and Wildlife officials were driving their blown big-block air-boat rescuing people.
