What are the most efficient tables for pool hall use? considering durability and prices first, and any other factors too.

You are going to want a table of the quality level of a Brunswick Gold Crown (currently 5), Olhausen Grand Chamipon 2 (or 3), Diamond Pro or ProAm. These tables have the necessities to be played 24/7/365 and never yeild to 350 pound massé artists or the random drunk bouncing off the tables trying to find his way out of the establishment. The table mechanics love these tables.
These tables play well for decades of contant use and abuse. There are several ongoing sales (pool halls closing down) with lots ranging from hand-fulls to couple of dozen tables.

I hate to recommend another site as @billiardsforum has been so nice to use by putting this site together, but here, the best thing to do is to recommend looking through the AZBilliards forums. Especially the table mechanics section, and the general forum where weekly 'dumps' of tables are announced.
