Smith Brothers Pool Table Bumper Removal

I have a 7' Smith Brothers pool table and I am interested to replace the cloth on it.

It has a single-piece slate and has two sloped troughs down the sides that block access to the underside of the table.

I am interested if someone knows how to remove the bumpers from a Smith Bros. pool table. Once the bumpers are off, the table can be lifted out.
