Pool table cushions
I have noticed that there are two types of billiard table cushions. Some are regular cushions and others are called floating cushions. What is the difference and which is better on a 9ft. table?

I'll ask this question in a different forum. They have a Talk To A Mechanic section.

From the experts. "Never heard of them before."

Fenwick's right. Those two terms are alien to cushion jargon.
Does this help at all?

Here are the cushions I am speaking about.
Sterling K-66 48" Floating Rubber Cushions STKF48List: $99.00Order Yours: $79.20
These 100% gum rubber cushions provide superior playability. Gum rubber cushions last years longer than economy cushions with fillers. They have the K66 profile, which is the standard for most pool tables. Measures 1-1/16th x 1-1/8th. 48" in length, these cushions are used on 8' Oversize or 9' pool tables. Six pieces per set.

I did a search using the term, Sterling K-66 48" Floating Rubber Cushions. Here's where it sent me. http://www.billiardwarehouse.com/accessories/cushion_rubber.htm
The person I talked to is a Mechanic. One of the best BTW. I did learn something from Zeke's link!
"These 100% gum rubber cushions provide superior playability. Gum rubber cushions last years longer than economy cushions with fillers. " True and worth every penny.
