Cushion Profile Type for 1970s ATI Pool Table

I have an ATI Recreation 7-foot, 3-piece 3/4" slate pool table from the early 1970s.

I am looking to replace cushions. The original cushions were removed and I am not positive what size they take.

I measured the original balls and they mic out at 2.213. Maybe 2 7/32"?

Any help with what cushion type to use on my ATI pool table would be really appreciated.

    Ideally you would take one of the old rubber cushions with you and pop into your local billiard supply shop. They will be able to tell you for sure.

    But if that isn't feasible, here is a guide showing common pool table cushion profile measurements. You'll need a precision measuring device.

    K66 cushions are probably the most common pool table cushion profile used in modern pool tables (e.g. 40 years old or less). Some lower-end pool table use U23 cushions.

    Don't try to base it just on look alone. It also may not be any of these types. If your precision measurements don't match, or the shape is different altogether, post the details here.

    Also see below, from a respected pool table restoration company:

    Only one profile of cushion will give the correct nose height on a pool table. By installing the wrong profile, cushions will give an incorrect nose height/contact point and will impact the playability of your table.

    First determine that your nose height (contact point of cushion rubber where ball would hit) is 1 3/8” – 1 7/16” above table surface (if you have a standard pool table that uses 2 ¼” balls).

    If your cushion height falls within that range, then you need to replace cushions with same profile.
