Brunswick Gold Crown III Slate Pins

I bought a Brunswick Gold Crown III pool table and I noticed that the slate pieces didn't have any pins in them like a lot of other slates do. Otherwise, the slate is in very good condition. I was just wondering if that was normal or if somebody some how removed the pins? I payed $800 for the table and I was just wondering if I got ripped off.

Pins? The slates are positioned with shims under the frame. I never saw pins on the Crown or Medalist (the bare bones version of the Crown)...

800 for a Crown in decent shape is an awesome deal! At least IMO it is!
