Best Way to Move and Store Pool Table Slate

Best Way to Move and Store Pool Table Slate

What’s the best way to move and store pool table slate?

My pool table will be disassembled and will need to be stored for a few months before I will be able to assemble it again. The storage will be in a PODS conex unit which will be stored inside a temperature controlled warehouse.

Should the pool table slate lay flat on the flooring of the POD? If so, should they be stacked on top of each other or side by side? Can anything be stacked on top of them?

Or should it be turned on it’s side and leaned along an outer wall?

The slate needs to be "crated" before it is moved and/or stored. Once it has been crated, it can be stored either way you mentioned.

This is a very common service offered by most reputable pool table service companies.
