Is this a Brunswick Gold Crown Pool Table?

Is this a Brunswick Gold Crown Pool Table?

Can anyone tell me if this is a Brunswick Gold Crown pool table? I'm looking to buy a used table and was looking at a black crown 1 that I can get for $400.00 but this one is for sale at $600.00 and can most likely talk down to $400 also... I love when people sell things they know nothing about LOL.

This is the black crown pool table. Any suggestions on which one to choose would be appreciated.

No possible way to tell for sure with those photos.

Would need a close-up picture of that name-plate as well as photos of the legs from the short side/face-on.

$400 would be a sick price for a legit Gold Crown. It certainly looks like one from the one picture, but again, it's impossible to be reasonably sure just from that one pic.

I asked the person selling it and they didn't know what model it was and I didn't want to drop the name gold crown on them incase they look it up and decide they could get more for it

I can zoom the face plate on it enough to make out the Brunswick on it but not much else.

I have one more pic from the other end but still not that helpful. Oh and it's a 2 hr drive to go see it so that's why I'm trying to get a better idea before making the trip.

This is the name plate from searching it looks to be a gold crown 1 only thing it seems to be missing is the slots on the end that hold the balls and counters not sure if they were optional though

OK, I think this makes it a positive has the original matching rack and scoreboard I saw others showing it seems to be early 1960's model possibly 1963.

Another thing I noticed is that the table in the photo only seems to have a single "sight" in the rails between the pockets. Usually they would have 3, evenly spaced between each pocket.

Here is a 1973 Brunswick Gold Crown from the dealer sales book:

1974 Brunswick Gold Crown II pool table:

1979 Brunswick Gold Crown III pool table:

Here is the document I use to identify the various Brunswick gold crown models. Sorry it's not a higher-resolution picture, it was given to me by a mechanic a long time ago.

It can help distinguish between Gold Crown I, II, III, and IV models.

For matching the finish, don't just go by the photos. Look at the "Finish Options" column.

You might have to print this and just go over to the seller's place if it is near-by.

Again, It looks like a decent commercial-grade Brunswick pool table, and for $400 (or even 500), I think it's a steal.
