Commercial Brunswick Monarch Pool Tables?
I am having a small disagreement with a Pool Player and Mentor friend of mine.
I say, that Brunswick made Commercial Tables (pool hall tables, as he calls them) called "The Monarch", which were in Pool Halls.
I have seen pictures of 4 x 8 and 4-1/2 x 9 Brunswick Monarch Home Tables on the internet, that are way too beautiful and way too nice to be even in a high end Pool Hall.
Our disagreement is that a 4-1/2 x 9 Brunswick Monarch Regulation Table was or wasn't a Commercial Table?

Brunswick Monarch pool tables were made in the late 1800s and then another, the 1970s Brunswick Monarch which is obviously very different. I am guessing you are talking about the older, ornate Brunswick Monarch pool table with the lions underneath.
I don't believe they were used in pool halls of the day. They were bought for use in private homes as far as I know.
