Brunswick Anniversary Pool Table - Possibly from the 1st Run in 1945

Brunswick Anniversary Pool Table - Possibly from the 1st Run in 1945

I've recently acquired two 8-foot Brunswick Anniversary pool tables. They are made from walnut, and have white paint on the lower third of the pedestal legs. They also have white castings (including side castings). There is no leg stretcher nor any mount-points on the legs for one.

This leads me to believe, based on my initial research, that I have an original Brunswick Anniversary model C-I pool table.

I am no expert however, so I am hoping to put heads together here. If there's any serialization on these tables I can photograph it to help confirm it's ID. If so, let me know, I'm all ears!

I only have room for one of these pool tables at my bar, and only 5 of the 6 pieces of slate (one end piece shattered in a previous transit).

I am in southeast Iowa and looking for an expert who would want to help me bring one to a playable condition, ideally in trade for the other table or partial trade, especially since I'm down one slate.

But first I'd like to ascertain if these are true originals, because I have yet to actually find a photo online of a 1945 8' with the white accents outside of a scan of Brunswick catalogs.

Thanks in advance!

I agree with your hunch that you have an early Brunswick Anniversary pool table, likely from 1945-1947.

I see references to the "white bands" on the legs in the 1947 brochures, but in the 1948 catalog, there is no mention of the white finish, but rather a "scuff resistant" finish. Also new in the 1948 model is the larger apron ball rack (in your photos, I can only just barely see the tray, and it appears to be the smaller one).

So yes, based on that, I would say it is from anywhere from between 1945 and 1947.

Not sure if you saw this older question—1947 Brunswick Anniversary Pool Table For Sale in Erie, PA—which has the same white castings and leg bases. He too referred to it as a "model C".'

I am not all that familiar with pool table service companies in your area - perhaps someone else will come along and make a suggestion. In the meanwhile, you can take a look at the small directory of and perhaps start making some calls.

    Nice find, and good luck!
