A.E. Schmidt Pool Table Model ID and Value
Can anyone help me figure out what A.E. Schmidt model pool table I have and what is the estimated value of it?
All I was told was that it was made in 1937, and that's all I know about it (if that's even true).
I've been trying to figure out exactly what model AE Schmidt pool table I own and the value of it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It appears to be an A.E. Schmidt "Lincoln" pool table model. They were made between 1923 and 1939.
From A.E. Schmidt Billiards:
Here is a table that is just as good as it looks, modern in design and is popular with room keepers that want a medium priced table.
- Available in Oak or Mahogany
- Slate Bed: 1” 3 piece
The frame and legs are made from solid oak, and finished golden oak. The rail top is solid walnut, and the blind rails are made of ply-wood. The legs are 10 inches wide at base, sides 13 inches wide.
Here's the brochure image:
In terms of the value of a 1930s A.E. Schmidt pool table—in the condition that yours is in—it isn't going to be worth a whole lot.
I won't repeat my rant on the market for used pool tables, but suffice to say it is horrible for sellers, and great for buyers. There are just so many people getting rid of their pool tables these days.
The plywood finish isn't really all that desirable (whereas an antique pool table with a solid hardwood finish would be). If this was a family heirloom passed to you, it probably has far more value to you than to anyone else, which generally means you won't get a value that matches what you feel it should.
But now that you know what model you have, you can monitor classified sites over time to get a feel for the market for AE Schmidt pool tables in your area.
