Champion 3030 vs. Simonis 860
I am a novice player, I am wanting to upgrade the felt on my home table. I am torn between the two brands. I hear a lot about the simonis 860 on tv, but I hear a lot of good things about the champion 3030 tour edition. Installers say the 3030 is a lot easier to install and stretches better, and will last longer. Is there anyone out there who can give me any info regarding the 2 brands... also the Champion Tour edition is about $50 less than Simonis 860. Which cloth would be better and last longer. Please Help... thanks

I just reocovered my table at home with 3030 & it rolls great. My son & I stretched it a good 5" side to side and probably 4" end to end. We got it tighter than a drum & its fast as wedding silk. What a difference. We play straight pool & its so nice not to have to hammer the balls around the table. Just tap the rack of clusters & they break up nicely. We couldn't be happier.
As for longevity, that remains to be seen. I expect it to last a looonnnggg time as we only play on it 10-15 hours a week.

My name is Dereke and I have played on both Simonis 860 as well as champion 3030. In my experience with both of them I played for two years a piece they are both great cloth.
If you want long lasting cloth go with 3030, and if you want playabilty go with the Simonis 860.
Either way you cant go wrong man.
My personal choice is the Simonis 860. I say if its good enough for the pros its good enough for me. I hope this helps man, and good luck.
Dereke
