How to Play "Low Ball" with Poker Pool Balls
In Low Ball, the object is to score the lowest poker hand possible, pocketing five balls or less.
The procedure for playing Low Ball is exactly the same as [Draw Poker]( "Crown Games poker pool ball set rules for Draw Poker").
Scoring- When scoring a hand in Low Ball, there are no Straights, Flushes or Suits, and the scoring goes from left to right.
- The Ace is the lowest ranking ball.
- The best hand a player can score is an Ace, Joker, 8, 9 and 10. This hand is called a "Wheel".
- A hand with the lowest ranking high ball is the winner. For example, player A's has a Jack as their lowest ranking high ball. Player B has a Queen. The winning player is player A, because the lowest ranking high ball is a Jack, which is lower than player B's Queen.
- Players may have a high ball of the same rank in both hands. When this occurs, the player with the second lowest high ball wins. For example, player A's second-lowest ball is a Jack. Player B's second lowest high ball is a 10. Player B wins because the second lowest high ball is a 10, which is lower than player A's Jack.
The player with the lowest hand (not exceeding Five Balls) wins the game.
When the winning hand is pocketed, the game is over.

Somewhere around 2003-2004, Crown Games, Inc. of California began marketing the game of poker pool and were engaged in selling a set of poker-pool billiard balls. This set of balls came with a "Players Guide" book of 10 poker pool games you could play with them.
These poker pool rules for "Low Ball" were included in that "Players Guide" rule book, and were also, at one time, published to pokerpool.net, which is no longer online.
