How to Play "21-Poker Billiards" with Poker Pool Balls
In 21, the object is to score twenty-one points, or come as close as possible without going over. 21-Poker pool is played as follows:
- Players can lag or toss a coin to determine their positions for Round One.
- Player Number One racks and breaks the balls.
- A player indicates (calls) the object ball and pocket before shooting.
- Players get three consecutive shots (including Break) to pocket a minimum of two balls.
- Players that pocket two balls can hold their hand, or continue shooting for extra points until pocketing their desired hand, or miss a shot..
- All pocketed balls shall remain in the pocket, except on a scratch.
- Scratched marked balls are spotted at the foot of the table. The Cue Ball is placed on or behind the head string. Any ball below the head string can be pocketed.
- After a completed round, the winning player can take any ball out of the pocket and place it on their shelf for one point.
- Players’ positions for an incoming round will be determined by their previous score. Tie scores are decided by a coin toss.
- Players shoot once and alternate when playing the last ball on the table, unless a player is shooting the ball to complete a hand.

Somewhere between 2003-2004, Crown Games, Inc. of California began marketing the game of poker pool and were engaged in selling a set of poker-pool billiard balls. This set of balls came with a "Players Guide" book of 10 poker pool games you could play with them.
These poker pool rules for "21-Poker" were included in that "Players Guide" rule book, and were also, at one time, published to pokerpool.net, which is no longer online.
