How Many of the Meucci SE-V (SE-5) Pool Cues Were Made?
I own a Meucci Special Edition SE-V model with serial number #053.
I have come across someone on Facebook Marketplace that is selling what they claim is a Meucci SE-V pool cue but the serial number in the window is #856.
Weren't there only 500 (or close to that) of these Special Edition runs?
I am curious and so is the owner. He does not want to sell a fraudulent cue.

billiardsforum on 3/15/2025 6:31:00 PMThere were to be 1000 of the Meucci SE-V Special Edition cues made.
According to the brochures, some of the special edition cues had been limited to 250 (e.g. SE-16), some to 500 (e.g. SE-VIII), some to 750, and some to 1000 (e.g. SE-VII). Some had no mention of a limited quantity on their brochure (e.g. SE-VI).
Sometimes the ones limited to a quantity of 1000 had two different stain or color variations. There would be 500 of each variation, totaling 1000 (e.g. SE-VII).
However, I don't believe that was the case with the SE-5, as all of the photos and brochures I have all only show a single stain and colorway.
The Meucci Special Edition #5 brochure had no mention of a quantity, but as evidenced by what you saw, as well as a photo I have of serial number #640, we can be fairly certain they were planning to go to 1000.
