    Thank you for being kind. I apologize for not reading the rules & regulations.

    But for it to be a billiardsforum & asking for rate for merely spreading the word to billiard enthusiast is such a rip off.

    I see your point, and I hope you can understand why we're so defensive here. We get SO much posting by brand new members that turns out to be nothing but advertising or spam.

    Our stance on the whole thing is this:

    While your post WAS highly relevant to the users of the billiards forum (even though it was an advertisement), you had not yet established yourself as a contributing member.

    Advertisement posts from brand new members who have not contributed any other non-advertising posts to the community do not and should not have the right to command the attention of committed members for purposes of an advertisement.

    This free-to-use site is paid for by advertisers (some of which are also custom pool cue makers). We deem it unfair to those advertisers if we were to allow anyone to post advertisements, promotions, etc. for free.

    I hope this all makes sense, and I understand that paid advertising may not be the optimal marketing channel for your new business.
