Value of a Viking R55 Cue

Thank you so much, I appreciate your time in identifying my Viking cue here:

Any idea what a Viking R55 cue is worth?

I don't have any recent sales in my database for the Viking R55 cue, but there were two recent eBay sales of similar models.

I will show the details of each first, then discuss comparisons below that.

    Vintage Viking Pool Cue (Refinished)

    Bids: 1

A vintage Viking pool cue from the 80's cue has been refinished and re wrapped and comes with one 12.7 mm shaft cue is 57” long and weighs 19.6 oz

So, in comparison of these Viking cues to your Viking R55 cue:

    • Both of these are slightly newer, but from the same general design era at Viking than when yours is from
    • The first one above is, of course, newly refinished, likely at a cost of around $100 give or take.
    • The second one is a slightly more complex cue than yours (as it has a 2-point forearm where yours has no points). It retailed at $85 back in the day whereas yours retailed at $55.
    • Yours appears to be in slightly rougher shape than were both of these cues - with several visible dents and dings on the butt sleeve. Anyone buying for what little collectible value it has would perhaps wish to have it repaired and would likely factor that into how much they would be willing to pay.

Either way, it's age is a bit older, and as such, I would place it at somewhere between $80 and $160, plus an additional $50, give or take, assuming that the 2nd shaft is an original matching shaft.
