Meucci 97-4 Value?

Meucci 97-4 Value?

Can't find any others for sale. Been offered $100. Research shows Meucci values vary wildly from model to model.

Yeah, the values are all over the place. You can discard the higher-valued ones.

    Here's why:

    • The market for used pool cues is in the dumps right now.
    • the Meucci 97-3, 97-4, and 97-5 are the lowest-end cues from that series (all the same just different stains).
    • Even when brand new, and even though the MSRP was $254, they were sold everywhere online for $155.
    • These models have zero "collectible" premium associated with them at this point in time.
    • The higher-priced ones you often see on eBay etc. never sell at those prices.

If it is in perfect shape and rolls straight, you might expect to get $90 to $180, but your experience may vary depending on your location, how you sell it, and other market conditions.

If you are selling it, I would recommend eBay auction (not "buy-it-now"). There are always folks looking to buy these lower-end 97-series Meucci cues and they often get bid up beyond what they are really worth.

    Hope that helps.
