2009 McDermott M99A Pool Cue Authentication
I am going to purchase a McDermott M99A pool cue.
It is said to be a prototype because the white inlay goes all the way to the top of the wrap which is different than what they show on the website.
Is there was a way to prove that e.g. authenticate the pool cue as a McDermott M99A prototype cue?
If it can be authenticated as such, would the cue be worth more money?

850 it has two shafts one is an i2 ....I'll try uploading the pic again it won't let me do it from my phone

Does the Cue have a signature on it? When you say the white inlays go to the top, do you mean on the butt, or the forearm?
Yea its signed has the raised mcdermott letters on the grip, the white inlays start in the same spot as they do on the website but the white goes all the way to the top of the letter wrap I tried uploading a pic it won't let me
here is a pic of mine look at the white inlay parts and look how they are different

Ok, It is a prototype and the value is subjective to whoever is looking at it. What they do is make 3-4 prototypes until they come up with the design they like. The price doesn't sound to off, Mcdermott does sell there prototypes at tournaments at a discounted price and if that is how it was aquired he probally got it at a better price than $850.
Thanks for the info I passed on it and bought another cue
