1963 Frank Paradise Custom Cue Value
I own a Paradise cue that Frank made for me in 1963 (or thereabouts).
I used to hang out and shoot pool at the Clifton, NJ pool hall and Frank told me I needed a better cue than the house cues.
He made this for me and charged me $48.00 if I remember correctly. That was a lot of money for a 16 year old kid, and I needed to win a bunch of 9 ball to pay for the cue!
I understand that Frankie Paradise cues are now collectible. I kept it only for sentimental reasons all these years and if its worth my while I would be interested in selling it.
I have attached a couple of pictures. (Mod: pictures missing, didn't come through)
It is a personalized paradise cue, as many were. My name is on the foil in the butt.
The shaft has a slight warp and the plastic rings on the butt are a little loose. I imagine the butt screw needs to be tightened. There are no dings or marks on the wood.
The original bag is included, but its just a simple zip soft case.
I wonder how much these Paradise cues are worth these days? Also, if there is any interest please get in touch.
Many thanks ,
