Anyone Have Experience with the Ultraskin Tips?

I'm looking for thoughts on Ultraskin tips.

Which version of the Ultraskin would be best?

I grew up using Elkmaster tips, but from what I have been reading harder tips are just as good if not better for english?

Would there be much difference between medium and hard tips?

I may have to keep a soft tip on my old cue for full table masse shots as it seems a soft tip is better for masse? My old cue has a 12mm shaft while my newer Meucci has a 13mm shaft.

I am also considering getting a backup shaft for my Meucci and am considering a 12.5mm.

Thoughts?
