I am wonder what is the name of the string that is wrapped around the handle of a pool cue? Just asking what is the name of the string that is used to put on the cue stick handle for a better grip of the cue?

   A Linen wrap is the generic answer. Irish linen being the best stuff for pool cue wraps.
