How to Replace a Ferrule on a Pool Cue
I own a Meucci 84-4 witch I love but I recently cracked the ferrule.
Any way I was wondering if any one here could give me advice on replacing the ferrule on my cue?
Now I have never replaced a ferrule on a pool cue before. I would like to not be able to say that tomorrow. I am an auto technician by trade and very handy with, and have an awesome set of, tools. I assembled my own pool table. I got a Thomas Aaron DIY pool table kit new in box at a scratch and dent sale. It was missing a few parts and the slate. I found 3 pieces of 8 ft slate (not for Thomas Aaron kit table and made it work) Any way I now have brand new, level, 8-ft slate pool table in my basement for an investment of around $350. Winning!
I could take the cue thirty miles away and have Joe Blackburn replace it for me He has an excellent reputation.
But I am not afraid to try it myself. Worse-case scenario I buy new shaft with ferrule and tip. But still would like the advice of some one who has been there before and knows what they are doing! I can admit ignorance but can cure said ignorance with education. If one of my learned fellow cue sport enthusiasts wood share their knowledge with me I would be most appreciative.
If anybody has experience at replacing a ferrule on a Meucci Original cue, I would be most appreciative if you would share that with me!

Here is a really good video by master cue maker Bob Dzuricky:
And this one shows a ferrule replacement on a Meucci Originals David Howard cue.
Besides these, there are lots of other really great cue making and cue repair videos on YouTube.
