Cleaning a pool cue shaft

Cleaning a pool cue shaft

Comment on the cleaning a pool cue shaft...

I have a couple of McDermott cues that I play with on a regular basis. I simply take some rubbing alcohol on a cotton cloth and clean the shafts about once every 2 weeks. It sounds crazy but give it a try.

Nuke a damp cloth in the microwave until it's steamy (20 seconds).

He suggests that some of these practices may be harmful. I guess if you have an average, run-of-the-mill cue, cleaning the pool cue shaft really doesn't matter much.

I've had good success cleaning cues using baby wipes. They don't contain bleach.
