What Kind of Cue Do I Have?
Can someone please tell me what kind of cue and stick I have? My stepfather left it to me before he died in a jeep crash. I have a feeling its an antique, and that it might be ivory and have an Irish linen wrap.
Its also a 4 piece inlay. I don't know much about cues, I just occasionally play and usually use a house stick.
Anybody that can identify would be great.

The wrap is synthetic, not linen.
The white is plastic.
It is an inexpensive Asian import.
It sounds like it has sentimental value, you can't put a price on that.

@chopdoc, I recently had this stick looked at, and was told that it is genuine ivory.
Oh, and the wrap is not synthetic, it is also genuine Irish linen.

I would suggest you have a more knowledgeable person look at it.
If you are very serious, then send it to Mark Kulungian or Dick Abbott.

If you took it to an antique dealer, pawn shop, or your local pool hall I can guarantee you they don't know what they are doing.
I can promise you that the cost of a formal appraisal from a proper cue expert will exceed the value of the cue.
If either one of those men validates what you are saying in writing, I will pay for their appraisal.
