Palmer Cue ID and Authenticity
Can anyone ID this Palmer pool cue or tell me anything else about it?
I believe it’s from the 1970s but can’t find anything online that matches it exactly.
It might be a custom Palmer cue but I’m unsure.

This might be an ADAM tribute cue too, just want to put that out there.

I don't see this model in any of the three main Palmer Cue catalogs.
@KCCC - Yes, it has a look close to an A/H-10, except with a shorter butt-cap.

Thanks for your replies!
I think you’re right, it’s an Adam cue - but I don’t think it’s a tribute cue.
Here are some more pictures. I am hoping that this provides more clues as to the model.
Is the ferrule ivory?

Update: I think I found it, looks like it is a wico Palmer cue:

Yeah, I see some of the design elements you are talking about in those cues, but as someone that owns six 1st- and 2nd-catalog Palmer cues, I can tell you that your cue has some workmanship issues that really point to it being an ADAM cue.
If you really want to be 100% sure, there is a Facebook "Palmer Collectors" group, and you should post your pictures there.

@doublej - I don't see your cue on that Classic Cues page.
The closest is the 4th cue down, but that's not the same cue, except for it's similar butt sleeve. The forearm differs completely.
However, I did come across two posts on Facebook (in the "Palmer Cues - Original By Palmer" group) where someone posted what looks to be the same model as yours. Both buttsleeves are the same as yours, but the forearm detail differs in one of them (which I guess was not uncommon).
The first, from November 2023, listed it as a "1960s pre-catalog Palmer cue" (meaning it was made before any of their cues were cataloged, thus is has no model number).
I bought this 60s pre-catalogue Palmer cue as mentioned by Jay previous to my purchase about 5 years ago and it definitely needed some care. Rings had some rust, had a bubble under the butt plexiglass and the wrap was worn. I invested a fair amount getting in made beautiful again and refinished at Proficient also re wrapped with green spec Irish linen. Some of the before pictures are shown. Titlist nose. Butt 18 oz Shaft 1: 3.5 oz 12.6 mm lift, Shaft 2: 3.5 oz 12.5 mm straight, also a nice fitting and hitting OB shaft 3.8oz 12.3 mm straight, with a techno dud tip.

The second was from July 2022. Forearm inlays match yours better than the one above does. The guy who I consider the worlds foremost expert on Palmer cues called it a "first catalog model #3 with inlays"—and by inlays, he's referring to the forearm inlays.

Thank you both for your replies, I really appreciate it.
@billiardsforum thank you especially for re-posting these pics from the Facebook group. I actually don't have a Facebook account so this is hugely useful and appreciated.
A bit about where I got the cue—I got it from a dear old friend who passed away in his 70s and was an avid pool player and cue collector. He had over 50 pool cues when he passed, including Balabushka cues. This is what had me thinking it wasn't a tribute cue.
I guess it's safe to presume it's pre-catalog Palmer or a first catalog Palmer model #3 with inlays.
