Mali Cue ID and Description
I need help with the ID of a Mali cue model.
It is a two-piece cue, and has a silver Mali logo (Mali silver label cue). It might be a Mali break cue but the forearm, handle, and butt cap does not break down into 3 piece jump cue. It's just the shaft and the butt.
It has a dark grey-stained forearm with a half-length black wrap, a 3/8" x 10 joint pin with a stainless steel joint collar. It has a 12.8mm shaft diameter, is 57 3/4" in length, and weighs 20 oz.

Your cue is is from the level 2 Mali Spectrum Stainless Steel series.
It has the stainless steel joint, a stained maple forearm, and a stained maple butt sleeve. They came in different colors.

Do you know if the Mali Spectrum series cues were intended to be used as break cues, with the atypical half-wrap?

This is not from the Mali Spectrum series. Based on the photos in the brochures and catalogs, the Mali Spectrum Series (I, II, and II) cues all had a small ring between the plastic butt cap and the maple butt sleeve.
Can we see a clear photo of:
- the entire Mali cue (without the shaft)
- the joint collar and pin
I can't see the joint in your photo, but I suspect it is a Mali "MB" break cue from the Mali "Traditional Series". The model number is "MB" and series is the Mali Traditional series.
It too has a stainless steel joint collar. It was a series of 16 cues, the break cue, and playing cue models 1 through 15.
I think they were from mid-to-late 1990s, or earl-to-mid 2000s, but not 100% sure.
